Rosacea is a common skin disorder characterized by flushing, redness, bumps and pustules on the cheeks, nose, forehead and chin. Spider-like veins called telangiectasia are often seen. Many people also have eye symptoms. Our unique approach to treating rosacea combines the wisdom of traditional Chinese herbalism with current research on the pharmaceutical benefits of modern botanical extracts and exotic oils. This way, we integrate “the best of both worlds” to achieve the most effective holistic treatments available. Internal herbs lay the basic foundation of healing from within, while topical treatment adds to the efficacy and expedites healing.

When Will I Be Better?
A treatment course for rosacea varies depending on the severity and duration of the condition. Mild cases with a recent onset generally clear up within a month or two of treatment. More serious cases of rosacea can take 4 to 6 months of treatment to fully resolve (sometimes even longer). We treat until the condition is stable. Once this happens, the body naturally remains in a healthy state on its own.

What About Acupuncture?
Holistic treatment for rosacea mainly relies on herbs and botanicals. Some patients also do a course of acupuncture treatment, but it’s generally for overall health and well-being. Acupuncture is not necessary for the specific treatment of rosacea.
